Exposition Vallauris 1955
Exposition Vallauris 1955
One of Picasso's famous designs for annual the ceramics exhibition, ‘Exposition Vallauris’. The town of Vallauris, where Picasso lived, asked him to design the advertising posters of its annual ceramics exhibitions from 1951 to 1964. In this playful design, Picasso created a plate motif with lettering forming eyes, a nose and mouth to make a joyful face. Printed on ‘Roto Blank’ paper by Arnéra in Vallauris, France.
